​Vicki was born and raised in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon where she grew to love rainstorms, camping and exploring nature.  She loves exploring and traveling with her husband, Carlos and two daughters, Emily and Alyssa, but always loves to come back home to rainy Oregon.
For several years she worked in accounting, eventually self employed, while she cared for her daughters. When they both entered grade school she pursued her desire to work in education and began a position at their school working with special needs students. Here her interest in foster care grew as she witnessed the need for safe, loving homes. In 2020, Vicki and Carlos began their foster care certification process and in 2023 they provided care for 3 children. All placements ended with the blessing of family reunification and their hearts changed forever for children in foster care.
She had followed Salem Angels’ growth through her own foster parenting experience and continued to be amazed at their work. Thinking her accounting experience could be useful in furthering the Salem Angels' cause, she jumped at the chance to be a part of their mission. Vicki cannot wait to see how God weaves this experience into His grand plans!
