We currently have three amazing families waiting to be matched in our Love Box program and two youth waiting for a Dare to Dream mentor. Our heart at Salem Angels is to serve every family that makes the decision to foster. Our organization and families need committed and caring volunteers to step in and be part of a community of support. MEET THE FAMILIES & Youth:

Family #1 - Located in Monmouth This single mama has five kiddos in her home ages 12-18, three of whom are teens experiencing foster care. Mom would love emotional support as well as assistance with essential items. Teens would enjoy outdoor or community based activities as well as arts & crafts to express themselves creatively.
Family #2 - Located in NE Salem **Dual Language - English/Spanish** This family is currently fostering four youth. Two are females ages ten and 20, two are males ages seventeen and twelve. They also just gave birth to their first biological child. They do not have any support around the area as their family lives out of state. They are looking to build connections in the fostering community and be showed the reigns of parenting children as first time parents. This family would benefit from general support, help with supervision and breaks even if it is just a couple of hours.
Family #3 - Located in West Salem This family of 5 is new to our waitlist. They are a kinship family providing care for their 10 year old family member as well as their 2 bio kids. This family would appreciate encouraging notes, gift cards, respite, enrichment activities for the child, clothes/shoes and mentorship.
Family #4 - Located in Donald This family of four recently moved to the area from out of state and do not have any local support. They have one biological son who is thirteen, and one son experiencing foster care that is eleven. Family primarily needs emotional support as well as some babysitting so mom & dad can have the occasional date night.
Youth #1 - Located in NE Salem This seventeen year old youth is looking for a mature couple to mentor him. Youth would like to get out of the house and do more activities. He plays guitar and likes many genres of music. He has expressed and interest in chess and bladesmithing. His goals are to obtain healthy, safe support as he has no family or friends in the area.
Youth #2 - Located Downtown Salem This 18 year old young lady is looking for an easy going mentor that will help her acheive her goal of getting her driver's license. She would also like practical help in learning how to "adult" - get a car, her own place, attend college. She is interested in pursuing a career in culinary arts or social work and would like emotional support and would benefit from someone who prioritizes mental health.
