Nichole Martin
Wife, mother, wrangler of critters and real estate agent. Likes: Coffee, croissants, conversation, dining with friends, interior design magazines, a roaring fireplace, people with empathy, day trips, cut flowers. Dislikes: Scary amusement park rides, house cleaning, waiting in lines. Born and raised in northern California, Nichole relocated to attend OSU as a Biology major. She went on to graduate and work in research for major pharmaceutical companies and academic research laboratories. An extrovert and people person, Nichole became a real estate agent, and happily juggled a new career path and being more available for her family. A lover of the arts and youth programs, Nichole joined the board of Oregon Children’s Theatre in Portland, helping to provide art experiences to children all over the state. Working on the board allowed her unique experiences as she filled in many board roles including interim president and philanthropic event management. On any given day, Nichole will be caring for one of her many critters or working on the family farm. The brood includes thirteen chickens, three horses, two dogs and a feral cat… and some visiting momma cows. Nichole is married to Andrew. They have one daughter, Lauren, who is an accomplished equestrian. Nichole came to Salem Angels as a Love Box leader. Her passion is mental health awareness. The idea of providing help and support to foster children and the greater foster family is a holistic approach that speaks to her soul. |
