Likes: deep conversations, puns and dad jokes, tea or coffee with friends, late nights around a fire pit, adventures, Christmas, details, and the rain.
Dislikes: snakes, mosquitos, politics, unclear expectations, temperatures above 85°F.

Kaylen was born and raised in the Salem/Keizer area. In 2007 she married Tim and they started their grand adventure as the Dinsmore Duo. In 2019 a Blue Staffordshire/Pit mix named Gracie joined the mix!

Her time in the workforce has been diverse including banking, youth ministry, and real estate. Currently working for the Oregon Department of Education as a Program Analyst building the Connection Oregon Schools Fund, which helps fund special construction projects to get broadband to rural schools. She has loved that her career has always provided opportunities to serve others and desired a way to make difference beyond work hours.

The Foster Care community has long been on her heart. Starting when she was a teen and her parents fostered, continuing as family friend became foster families themselves. She saw first-hand how difficult the road can be for those touched by the foster care system and the importance of support for those involved. Finding Salem Angels felt like an answered prayer; a way to serve children and families affected by the foster care system in a tangible way.
