Likes: Her Savior, hubby, children, pregnant mamas, people, coffee with people, wine with people, dark chocolate, all the kids home, board and card games, positivity, interior decorating, reading, learning, quiet time, the fall! Dislikes: Messy house, negativity, being cold, the fall ending! Brooke grew up in the Pacific Northwest on the Oregon Coast, and knew she was a true Oregonian when she returned after a few years from southern California cuz’ she missed the rain! And thank goodness she did, as she met the man of her dreams one month later and married him ten months later! Brooke loves being a wife and mom, and loved the joys and challenges of homeschooling their first three children. As they got older, God called her out of her comfort zone to serve in the community which led her to a relationship with a young mom and her baby boy. The young mom struggled and in time, couldn’t continue the care of her son. Brooke & Bob soon found themselves saying one of the biggest yes’ of their lives…..fostering and then adopting their youngest little boy! Parenting a little one in your 50’s isn’t always easy for sure, but they live out the verse that they “can do all things through Christ who strengthens them”, as well as claiming the positive attitude that he’s keeping them young! A couple of years after they adopted, Brooke once again found herself wondering how to continue to serve in the community with her new understanding of foster care and the needs there, when she found National Angels. With her love of people and children, she said another big yes and now serves as our President & Executive Director! |
