REX OMLIDRex was raised in Monmouth, Oregon, and Kodiak, Alaska. He spent his summers commercial fishing in remote Alaska with his family who he is close with. During the school year he spent his time in Monmouth where his parents were educators. He fell in love with the outdoors from a young age and enjoys spending time outside, especially the coast. His love for baking was also born in Alaska, where everything was made from scratch. Rex loves to bake and does so weekly for his church congregation. After graduating college during the height of covid, Rex went back to school to study interior design. Upon graduating he worked as a designer for 3.5 years. During his time in college, interior design school and working as a designer, he got involved with a few families who were fostering. His heart was drawn to helping them in any way he could. He later became a CASA, but shortly after he stumbled across Salem Angels where our mission really tugged on his heart. He began volunteering in the Dare to Dream program, and shortly after joined the team as Case Manager.
