Lauren CarterWife, boy mom, women's ministry director, encourager, believer, positive, enneagram 3, risk taker, goal setter.
Likes: Writing, date nights, church every Sunday, home renovations, coffee all day, personal development, morning quiet time, a good sale, podcasts, family hikes. Dislikes: Daylight savings, glass-half-empty-perspectives, waking up early, high maintenance plants. Lauren grew up in Salem, Oregon, where she graduated from Corban University with a degree in Youth and Family Psychology. She and her husband started dating while volunteering as counselors for Royal Family Kids Camp (a summer camp for children experiencing foster care), and have been married for seven years. Since her years with RFK, Lauren has had a heart for serving children and families wherever she can. After graduating college, she spent time as a skills trainer with Christian Community Placement Center and later worked with the Child Life Therapy team at Randall Children’s Hospital and Children’s Cancer Association to support the families of children receiving treatment for serious illness. Lauren is currently the Director of Women’s Ministries at Church on the Hill and is blessed to spend lots of time at home with her two little boys. She is so excited for the opportunity to combine her passions and positions to join Salem Angels in wrapping community around children and families in foster care. It's a calling and privilege she’s honored to be part of. |
