ELESA DOLLFun mom, Good friend, Bargain hunter
Likes: Club dance at the Courthouse athletic club, golfing, being on the water (on a tube, a paddleboard or kayak), watching reality TV, making soups Dislikes: Loud and crunchy popcorn eaters at the movies, when people tailgate me. Elesa was raised on the Southern Oregon coast She went to college in Eugene and then graduated from OHSU in Portland with a Bachelor of Science degree, and was a dental hygienist for 20 years. In 2004 she moved to Salem to raise her daughters on a Christmas tree farm in south Salem. She felt very fortunate to find the Salem community and found it to be a great fit and a wonderful place to raise her girls - Go Oly's!!! When she turned 40 she decided she wanted a new career for the next 20 years, something that she could use her matchmaking skills and went into commercial real estate. She also always had an interest in helping out nonprofits that were geared towards helping kids and families. In Portland she volunteered for the Boys and Girls Aid Society picking up kids and their parents and taking them to meetings where the parents got support and instructions and the volunteers watched the kids. After moving to Salem she got involved with the South Salem MOMS club and helped put on an auction to benefit Family Building Blocks. Later she volunteered for FBB in different capacities (special event set up, making cookies, delivering Thanksgiving meals to families) and hosted an event for the Marion Polk Foodshare called "Heeling" Hunger. Elesa discovered Salem Angels through our Executive Director (knowing each other since about 8 years old), and was part of one of Salem Angels’ first Love Box groups with many other friends! |
