Catherine Lewis-AnthonyChrist follower, wife, boy mom, introspective, thoughtful, passionate about social justice, people lover.
Likes: Rich conversation, coffee, puzzles, playing the piano, going to the beach. Dislikes: Doing dishes, traffic, spiders and all other creepy crawlers. Catherine was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. She graduated from Westmont College in California with a degree in sociology and the desire to be a social worker. While in college, Catherine met her partner, Rashidi, and they married several years later. Catherine and Rashidi have been married for 9 years and have been blessed with three beautiful boys during that time. As full-time working parents, Catherine and her husband stay very busy but also desire to give back to their community and lead by example in showing their children the importance of loving others. Just prior to having her first child, Catherine began working for the Oregon Department of Human Services as a caseworker. Catherine has continued her career in public service ever since, nearing 8 years at ODHS, and currently serves as a foster and adoptive parent trainer. Supporting and serving children and families experiencing foster care has always been near and dear to Catherine’s heart, and she was excited to say “yes!” when an opportunity came along to be involved in serving the Salem community outside her professional role. God’s will and timing has and continues to be perfect and is evident in so many instances throughout Catherine’s life, including the right door opening at just the right time to be part of something amazing...Salem Angels! |
