Dislikes: BBQ sauce, people chewing with their mouth open, large forks, and sticky hands. Angie was born in Seattle, Washington and grew up in the Pacific Northwest. She received her associates in Biblical Studies from Moody Northwest. She moved with her high school sweetheart & husband Jordan to Salem, Oregon to support his graduate and doctoral education and career goals. She worked at Starbucks, then moved over to the IKE Box and then started her career in healthcare where she developed a keen passion of taking care of chronically ill respiratory patients. She was encouraged and mentored by her former boss at the time to pursue a degree in Respiratory Therapy, which she completed through Concorde Career College in Portland. In 2014, her and her husband welcomed three kids aged 3, 5, 7 to come stay in their forever home. She continued to work full time as an RT up until 2020 before her family moved to Papua, Indonesia to support a local college, Papua Hope Language Institute. Her family returned to Salem in 2022, and Angie has recently started working in Oregon legislature, and loves meeting and working with people of all backgrounds. Angie has been engaged in creating community everywhere she goes. She’s been excited to join in the awesome work of Salem Angels and share her personal experience of being a foster adoptive mother. |
